About the Programme

The Master of Public Health (MPH) is in demand and recognized as the benchmark academic credential. There is significant demand for public health professionals in India and abroad in fields such as epidemiology, biostatistics, surveillance, environmental health management, and programme planning and evaluation.

Greater emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention — as a means to reduce the cost of care by improving population health — has created a broad array of new opportunities for professionals with advanced training in public health.

This course prepares a competent cadre of professionals with a strong understanding of the many aspects of public health, able to apply this knowledge to public health challenges — particularly in the Indian context.
